Residents of 18 houses in Rostov region reported damaged housing after drone attack

Owners of seven houses in Novoshakhtinsk reported damage due to a drone attack. Damage was also recorded in 11 houses in Rostov-on-Don.

As "Kavkazsky Uzel" reported, at least 15 people were evacuated from a residential building in the center of Rostov-on-Don, where a fire broke out after a drone fell. A total of seven houses were damaged, and a temporary accommodation center has been set up for residents.

Members of the emergency response commission left to inspect and record the damage caused by the drone attack on the night of August 27 in the village of Sokolovo-Kundryuchensky in Novoshakhtinsk.

"As a result of the drone attack in the village of Sokolovo-Kundryuchensky, the roofs of houses and windows were damaged. At the moment, there are appeals from the owners of 7 households and 2 damaged cars have been reported," the head of Novoshakhtinsk, Sergei Bondarenko, wrote on his Telegram channel.

Earlier it was reported that in Novoshakhtinsk, fragments of a drone fell into the courtyard of a private house, and the roofs of several neighboring houses were damaged.

The authorities of Rostov-on-Don also preliminarily recorded damage to housing. "According to preliminary information, 11 buildings of different heights were damaged," Interfax quotes a source in the city administration as saying.

Drone attacks were recorded in Rostov-on-Don, Taganrog, Novoshakhtinsk, Neklinovsky, Myasnikovsky, Millerovsky and Chertkovsky districts, Acting Governor of the Rostov Region Yuri Slyusar reported on his Telegram channel. According to Slyusar, in Novobessergenevka and the village of Botsmanovo in the Neklinovsky District, several facades and roofs of private houses were damaged by shrapnel.

A total of 15 drones were shot down over the Rostov Region on the night of August 27, the Ministry of Defense reported on its Telegram channel.

It should be noted that after the drone attack on the night of August 21, a fire broke out at the Novoshakhtinsk oil refinery. The authorities reported that the fire was extinguished only on the morning of August 26. Also, as a result of the drone attack on August 26, 11 rural houses in the Neklinovsky district of the Rostov region were damaged.
