Queues at the Crimean Bridge have shortened

After the missile threat was lifted, traffic on the Crimean Bridge was resumed. Motorists traveling to the Krasnodar Territory from Crimea have to wait for about an hour for inspection.

As "Kavkazsky Uzel" reported, on August 18, security forces discovered an explosive device in a car that arrived from Georgia. According to the FSB, the car was supposed to go to the Krasnodar Territory, it was planned to use it to blow up the Crimean Bridge. On the afternoon of August 24, traffic was stopped on the Crimean Bridge, and a missile threat was declared in the Krasnodar Territory.

Traffic on the Crimean Bridge was restored at 15:08 Moscow time on August 24, after which large queues formed on both sides of the bridge for inspection, according to data from the official Telegram channel monitoring the situation on the Crimean Bridge. So, at 15.30, after the bridge opened, 300 cars were blocked from the Taman side, and 1,200 from the Kerch side.

After that, the queues from the Kuban side gradually disappeared, and by nightfall, traffic was also running smoothly from the Crimea side.

According to data as of 7.00 Moscow time, there were more than 320 cars in the queue from the Crimea side, and drivers had to wait about an hour for inspection.

Users of the "Crimean Bridge" Telegram chat, which has more than 73,000 subscribers, confirmed this information.

"We got up for manual inspection in Crimea at 7.00, and left at 7.12," Genia wrote.
