Power engineers report restoration of electricity supply in Makhachkala

Power supply has been restored to residents of Makhachkala, whose homes were without power due to a fire at the Novaya substation.

As "Kavkazsky Uzel" reported, the fire from the burning landfill spread to the Novaya substation in Makhachkala, as a result of which some residents of the city were left without electricity. More than four thousand people complained about the power outage to the Unified Contact Center of "Dagenergo".

Residents of Makhachkala and Kaspiysk have repeatedly complained about frequent power outages. In the summer, power outages also led to interruptions in the water supply. On August 12 and 13, periodic outages and low water pressure were observed in some areas of Makhachkala and Kaspiysk. Entrepreneurs in Dagestan are suffering significant losses due to power outages, but are not trying to demand compensation for damages, considering litigation with Dagenergo to be a sure loser.

Dagenergo power engineers have completely restored power supply to Makhachkala consumers, the Dagenergo Unified Contact Center reported today.

The company reported that restoration work on the cable power line from the 110 kV Novaya substation has been completed. "All previously de-energized consumers have been fully supplied with electricity. 20 specialists and 6 units of special equipment were involved in the repair work. Technical activities were carried out continuously, including at night. In total, Dagenergo specialists installed about 900 meters of new cable and installed 68 connecting sleeves," the Telegram channel said.

By the evening of August 23, 56 thousand residents of Makhachkala remained without electricity, the Ministry of Energy of Dagestan reported.
