The Defense Ministry reported the destruction of 21 drones in the skies over southern Russia

All drones were shot down over the Rostov region.

As reported by "Kavkazsky Uzel", a fire was recorded in Novoshakhtinsk after a UAV attack. An industrial enterprise is burning.

Of the 49 drones intercepted by air defense systems over Russian regions on the night of August 21, 21 were shot down over the Rostov region, the Ministry of Defense reported on its Telegram channel. Other drones were intercepted over the Voronezh, Belgorod, Bryansk, Kaluga, Oryol, Kursk and Tula regions, as well as over Crimea and the Black Sea.

Meanwhile, restrictions on the arrival and departure of aircraft were lifted at the Volgograd airport, an official representative of the Federal Air Transport Agency reported in a publication on the Telegram channel at 6.54 Moscow time.

According to the airport's online board, the departure and arrival of four flights are delayed - all to Moscow.

Note that five drones were shot down in the Rostov region and one in Kuban on the night of August 20. At that time, the authorities reported no damage or casualties.
