More than 500 cars are waiting in line to pass in front of the Crimean Bridge in Kuban

In Krasnodar Krai, drivers and passengers of 505 cars are waiting for permission to pass in a traffic jam before the bridge across the Kerch Strait.

As "Kavkazsky Uzel" reported, by 7:00 Moscow time on August 17, there were 163 vehicles in the queue for manual inspection from the Taman side , and another 56 from the Kerch side.

During the day, the queue from the Kerch side exceeded half a thousand cars and completely dispersed by 21:00 Moscow time on August 17. The queue from the Kuban side exceeded a thousand cars during the day.

By midnight, there are 505 vehicles in the queue for manual inspection from the Taman side. "The waiting time is about two hours," the information center for highways reported today at 00.04 Moscow time in its Telegram channel about the situation on the auto approaches to the Crimean Bridge.

Eyewitnesses are sharing information about the situation in front of the bridge on both sides in the "Crimean Bridge Chat" Telegram chat. "Towards Crimea. Recall that on July 17, 2023, the Crimean Bridge was attacked by Ukrainian drones, one span was destroyed, another was damaged. Traffic on the bridge was restored only on November 1 of the same year.

On October 8, 2022, an explosion occurred on the Crimean Bridge, and two spans collapsed. Vladimir Putin called the incident a terrorist attack, the FSB stated that the organizer of the terrorist attack was the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine. The traffic on the bridge was resumed a month later.
