Investigative Committee takes interest in non-working elevators in new residential complex in Volgograd

The investigation into the violation of the rights of residents of apartment buildings in Volgograd was carried out by employees of the Investigative Committee of Russia.

The reaction of the head of the Investigative Committee of Russia Alexander Bastrykin followed the publication on the Internet of reports of improper maintenance of the new Volgograd residential complex "Coliseum".

"For several months, elevator equipment has been regularly breaking down in apartment buildings that were put into operation in December last year. In connection with this, residents, including disabled people and families with children, are forced to climb to the upper floors by stairs," the Telegram channel of the Information Center of the Investigative Committee of Russia says.

According to the department, numerous appeals from residents to various departments and structures have not yielded results. The Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the Volgograd Region has launched a procedural investigation.

"Caucasian Knot" wrote that at the beginning of the summer, the Chairman of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation Bastrykin intervened in the situation in another apartment building in Volgograd. He demanded that a criminal case be opened after Volgograd residents complained about non-working elevators, regular flooding of a nine-story building on Sologubov Street, and unsuccessful appeals to the authorities.
