Temporary restrictions on the operation of the Volgograd airport have been introduced to ensure flight safety; at least four flights to Moscow and Sharm el-Sheikh have been delayed.
As "Kavkazsky Uzel" wrote, previous restrictions at the Volgograd airport were introduced on the night of August 7; they were also related to ensuring security. During the period of restrictions, one aircraft was sent to the alternate airfield.
Today at approximately 01:30, temporary restrictions were introduced on the arrival and departure of aircraft at the Volgograd airport, Artem Korenyako reported in his Telegram channel "Representative of the Federal Air Transport Agency".
He also clarified that the restrictions "are necessary to ensure flight safety".
The Mash Telegram channel reported that at least four flights to Moscow and Sharm el-Sheikh were delayed due to the threat of a drone attack at the airport.
Residents of the Krasnoarmeysky and Kirovsky districts of Volgograd heard at least six loud explosions.
Recall that on August 7, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported an interception 26 drones in the skies over the Rostov and Volgograd regions, as well as over the Krasnodar Territory.
