Sniper from Volgograd killed in SVO zone

Alexander Politov was killed in combat. Since the beginning of the military operation in Ukraine, at least 1,281 soldiers from the Volgograd region have been officially recognized as killed.

As "Kavkazsky Uzel" wrote, by August 6, at least 1,280 soldiers from the Volgograd region were officially recognized as killed in the military operation in Ukraine.

On August 8, the funeral of serviceman Alexander Politov, call sign "Saint", who was killed in a special operation, was held in Volzhsky, State Duma deputy from the Volgograd region Andrei Gimbatov reported on his Telegram channel.

Alexander was a native of Volgograd. He did his military service in the navy. After demobilization, he served in law enforcement agencies, including working in the Central District Department of Internal Affairs of Volgograd. According to Gimbatov, the fighter was a sniper in the North Caucasus Military District.

Thus, at least 1,281 fighters from the Volgograd Region have been officially recognized as killed in the military operation. "Caucasian Knot" maintains a list of names of natives of the North Caucasus and Southern Federal Districts killed in the military operation.
