Residents of the flooded Tuapse district reported problems with water

Additional forces of the Ministry of Emergency Situations and volunteers from other settlements have been brought in to eliminate the consequences of flooding in the Tuapse District of Kuban, local authorities reported today. Commentators in Telegram channels are concerned about the lack of water in the affected areas.

As "Kavkazsky Uzel" wrote, by the evening of August 3, the authorities of the Tuapse District reported the participation of more than 200 people in eliminating the consequences of the flooding. Authors of comments on social networks complained that help never arrived.

Additional forces of the Ministry of Emergency Situations arrived in the Tuapse District, and volunteers, including from neighboring areas, actively joined the cleanup, the head of the district Sergey Boyko reported this morning.

"In Novomikhaylovskoye, an inspection of the damaged infrastructure is underway. Only one settlement remains without power. Work to restore the power supply is underway," his Telegram channel said. Commissions have been organized to record and assess the damage, visiting the affected houses.

Boyko said that as a result of the flooding, not only the adjacent territories were damaged, but also some social facilities.

"Several people remain at school number 35, where a temporary accommodation center is operating. Drinking water is also being distributed there," he noted.

Today, power engineers called on residents of the Tuapse region who were in the flood zone to observe electrical safety rules in the event of flooding of their home areas. "To avoid electrical injuries, do not take any independent actions on power lines and other energy facilities. Water getting on electrical wiring or electrical appliances that are under voltage is dangerous. After the water recedes, electrical wiring and appliances also remain dangerous. Using electricity in buildings (premises) that are in flooded areas without drying is dangerous," the Telegram channel of the Department of Housing and Public Utilities and Fuel and Energy Complex of the Tuapse Municipal District Administration says.

Rospotrebnadzor, in turn, in connection with the flooding of the territories, recommended that residents of the Tuapse District carry out sanitary cleaning of the territory (collection and removal of garbage), dig up the soil for the beneficial effects of sunlight, and also use gloves when cleaning the territory and cleaning homes.

Experts advise disinfecting the surfaces of the premises (floor, walls, doors), dishes, underwear, toys, and strictly observe the rules of personal hygiene, the district administration's telegram channel says.
