A soldier from Dagestan was killed in the Kursk region

Zamir Ramazanov from the Khivsky District was killed in combat. Since the beginning of the Russian operation in Ukraine, the authorities have officially recognized at least 1,472 fighters from Dagestan as killed.

As "Kavkazsky Uzel" reported, by July 20, officials and security forces had publicly named at least 1,471 killed soldiers from Dagestan.

Contract soldier Zamir Ramazanov was buried in the village of Kug in the Khivsky District on July 21. The serviceman was killed in the village of Tetkino in the Kursk Region, the municipal administration reported today.

Zamir Ramazanov began his contract service in Novocherkassk in 2019. In 2021, he was sent to Tajikistan, in 2022 he took part in a peacekeeping mission in Nagorno-Karabakh, and in 2023 he served under contract at a border outpost in Derbent, according to a message from the official Telegram channel of the Khiva district administration.

Ramazanov participated in hostilities against Ukraine since February 2025, when he was sent to the Kursk region.

Thus, at least 1,472 fighters from Dagestan have been officially recognized as killed on the Ukrainian front. The "Caucasian Knot" maintains a list of names of natives of the North Caucasus and Southern Federal Districts killed in the military operation. The list was compiled based on data officially announced by government officials and law enforcement agencies, according to the "Caucasian Knot" report "Statistics of the SVO: losses are growing for the south of Russia".
