Posts in social networks lead to fine imposed on Volgograd resident for discrediting Russian militaries

A Volgograd resident was fined for reposting a Ukrainian video and for his pacifist post.

Two protocols have been drawn up against Oleg Reshetin, the "Kavkaz.Realii"* project has reported. The first one was on his posting in the "VKontakte" social network of a video from a Ukrainian TV channel, in which Russian authorities were criticized for their military actions, as well as for the difficult demographic situation.

At trial, Reshetin admitted his guilt and expressed repentance; he was fined by 30,000 roubles. Then, the Voroshilovsky District Court of Volgograd imposed another fine of the same amount on Oleg Reshetin for his pacifist post in the blog.
