Ingushetia is outsider in rating of Russian regions in terms of population incomes

29.7% of the population of Ingushetia lives below the poverty line; it follows from the data of the "Rosstat" (the Russian Federal State Statistics Service). This is the worst indicator among all Russian regions. While in terms of the population's income to expenditures ratio, the republic turned out to be the penultimate one in the rating.

Today, June 20, the RIA "Novosti" has released the rating of Russian regions in population's incomes. It provides two indicators - the ratio of the median population's incomes to the cost of a fixed set of goods and services, and the share of the population below the poverty line in 2021 (in percent). The rating is based on the "Rosstat" data for the period from April 1, 2021, to April 1, 2022.

Among the regions of Southern Russia, the best situation is in the Krasnodar Territory, which took the 16th place in the rating. The incomes/expenses ratio there is 1.65; and 10% of the population lives below the poverty line. Adygea is in the 26th place – the incomes/expenses ratio is 1.52; and 11.7% of the population are below the poverty line).

The Rostov Region is in the 41st place (1.45 and 12%, accordingly); Dagestan is in the 52nd place (1.37 and 14.7%); the Volgograd Region is in the 58th place (1.35 and 11.2%); the Astrakhan Region is in the 60th place (1.33 and 15.5%); North Ossetia is in the 64th place (1.31 and 13.5%); Kabardino-Balkaria is in the 70th place (1.23 and 18.2%); Chechnya is in the 73rd place (1.2 and 19.9%), the Stavropol Territory is in the 78th place (1.16 and 18.5%); Karachay-Cherkessia is in the 81st place (1.00 and 22.7%); and Kalmykia is in the 82nd place (1.00 and 22.7%).

In the penultimate place of the rating is Ingushetia, where the incomes/expenses ratio is 0.95, and 29.7% of the population lives below the poverty line. The last indicator is the worst among all Russian regions.
