Russian MoD admits loss of its military personnel in Ukraine

Among the Russian servicemen involved in the special military operation in Ukraine, there are dead and wounded ones, for the first time the Russian Ministry of Defence (MoD) has admitted, without specifying the figures.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on February 27, the Russian MoD reported that Russian militaries had completely blocked the Ukrainian cities of Kherson and Berdyansk, and had also taken control over Genichevsk and the Chernobaevka Airfield located near Kherson.

There are dead and wounded among the Russian servicemen who are involved in the special military operation in Ukraine, the TASS reported on February 27, citing Igor Konashenkov, the official spokesman of the Russian MoD.

The losses of the Russian Armed Forces are many times less than those of the enemy, said the spokesman. "Our losses are many times less than the liquidated nationalists, and than the losses among the Ukrainian Armed Forces," Igor Konashenkov has stated, adding that some Russian servicemen were captured in Ukraine.
