Residents of Chechnya are sceptical about Kadyrov's words that extortions in schools are inadmissible

Parents of Chechen schoolchildren have stated on the Instagram that they will not follow Ramzan Kadyrov's call and will not dare complaining about school extortions. The practice of claiming money will continue after the statement of the head of Chechnya about its inadmissibility, social network users have suggested.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that back in September 2020, parents of Grozny pupils complained that they had to give money for buying school uniforms, notebooks, textbooks, as well as for school needs.

Chechen authorities are providing schools with everything they need; and parents have no need to donate money, Ramzan Kadyrov has stated at a sitting of the Operative Headquarters to Combat Coronavirus. The head of Chechnya has called on parents to inform if their children are being asked to bring money to school in the future, the "Grozny" State TV Channel reported on its Instagram page.

Many readers of this public have doubted that Kadyrov's words about the inadmissibility of school extortions would really affect the situation. "So, they wouldn't obey him," the user mmmedinta has pointed out.

In his comments, the administrator of the chechnyatoday_95 public has repeatedly urged to complain to the phone number or e-mail address indicated in the public. However, users have stated that they won't do this, explaining this by fear of officials. "Then, the whole department would summon and humiliate me; and my child would be avoided?" the pupil's mother have pointed out. "Whoever refuses to pay, they blaspheme and appeal to one's conscience," the user asetalis95 asserts, explaining her refusal to complain by pressure from other parents.
