Aliev threatens to break off diplomatic relations for recognition of NK

Azerbaijani authorities will break off the diplomatic relations with the countries that will recognize the independence of Nagorno-Karabakh (NK), Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliev has stated.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on October 10, an agreement on ceasefire in the Karabakh conflict zone entered into force, but the parties to the conflict continued to report about battles and shelling attacks.

He has treated as inappropriate the efforts that Armenia is making to achieve the NK's independence, stating that the Azerbaijan's territorial integrity is recognized by the whole world, including the members of the OSCE Minsk Group. "Not a single country has recognized the NK's independence," the "Interfax" quotes Mr Aliev words from his today's interview with the "Haber Türk" Channel.

Should any country recognize NK, Azerbaijan "will immediately break off all diplomatic relations with this country," the RBC (RosBiznesConsulting) quotes Ilham Aliev as stating.
