Three Martakert residents perish in air raid

Three persons were killed and several others wounded during the bombing of the city of Martakert by Azerbaijani aircrafts, the authorities of Nagorno-Karabakh reported on September 30.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that combat actions have been going on in the Karabakh conflict zone since September 27. The martial law is in force in Armenia, Nagorno-Karabakh and Azerbaijan. The Armenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) has announced that Turkish air fighters have supported the attacks of Azerbaijani troops. In his turn, Mevlyut Chavusoglu, the head of the Turkish MFA, has confirmed his country's readiness to provide military assistance to Azerbaijan.

The new civilian casualties were reported by Vagram Pogosyan, the press secretary of the Karabakh President. "Recently, an enemy's (Azerbaijani, – note of the "Caucasian Knot") military aircraft has bombed the city of Martakert, as a result of which three civilians were killed and several people wounded," the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent has translated Mr Pogosyan's post on the Facebook.

Martakert was bombed by two aircrafts; there are casualties and destruction, Misha Gyurdjyan, the Mayor, has stated. According to his story, townspeople are in shelters.

Azerbaijan uses Turkish drones to attack Nagorno-Karabakh; two of them were shot down over Stepanakert at night, the Armenian Ministry of Defence (MoD) has stated.
