On Friday, February 28, dozens of law enforcers raided the "Tangim" Mosque in Makhachkala. Mobile police posts were deployed on both sides of Omarov Street and at the exit from the mosque into Gagarin Street. Law enforcers stopped believers' cars, and wrote down personal data of drivers and passengers. They explained the raid by the operation "Debtor" aimed to reveal tax and other debtors, but there were no court marshals with them. No information was disseminated about any detainees and those taken to the police station.
