Serviceman died in NKR

Arman Levonyan, a soldier of the Defence Army of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR), has died from a gunshot wound received in unclear circumstances, the NKR's Ministry of Defence (MoD) has reported today.

According to the MoD, the incident occurred today at 6:50 a.m. local time on the defensive site of one of the military units of the Defence Army, stationed in the northern section.

"Under yet unclear circumstances, Arman Armenovich Levonyan, a soldier of the NKR's Defence Army, born in 1999, was fatally wounded. An investigation is underway to find out the details of the incident," the "Caucasian Knot" has correspondent translated the message posted on the website of the NKR's MoD.

Let us remind you that in July this year, the Armenia General Prosecutor's Office (GPO) reported that in the first half of 2019, 29 soldiers' deaths were recorded in the Armed Forces of Armenia and the NKR's Defence Army. Only 11 out of 29 deaths had to do with the military service.
