Soldier dies at military base near Tbilisi

A soldier of an infantry brigade was found dead in the territory of the military field exercise base in Vaziani.

The deceased soldier was 24-year-old Vladimir Makhatadze, reported the website of the Ministry of Defence (MoD) for Georgia. An investigation was launched under the article about incitement to suicide.

The Vaziani military base is located 25 kilometers from Tbilisi.

The "Caucasian Knot" has also reported about the death of a soldier at the Vaziani military base in September 2018. A car which was carrying soldiers from the military exercises overturned, and as a result of an accident, one soldier was killed and other two were injured.
