Law enforcer wounds a teen in Dagestani village

In the village of Khadjalmakhi, Levashi District, a policeman opened fire on a car driven by a 17-year-old schoolboy and wounded the teenager.

According to law enforcement sources, the incident occurred today at 11:10 a.m. Moscow time. A police unit tried to stop a black VAZ-21014 car, but the driver would not obey.

"The policeman was forced to use his pistol and fired three warning shots in the air and two at a car. As a result, the driver received fragmental wounds from the windshield. The policemen took the necessary security measures and rendered first aid to the victim. He was hospitalized in the district hospital," the RIA "Dagestan" quotes an employee of the press service of the Republic's Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA).

The source has noted that an official check has been launched regarding the policeman; and the Investigating Department for Dagestan of the Investigating Committee of the Russian Federation (ICRF) is also studying the circumstances of the incident.

The policeman opened fire at a car driven by a 17-year-old teenager, residents of Khadjalmakhi have reported. According to their version, the incident occurred in the marketplace; and the guy, who was driving the car, failed to react to the demand to stop, as he just did not hear it.

"There (in the marketplace), there's always a crowd; it's noisy; therefore the driver could not even hear the command to stop. The shooter did not even think that he could wound and even kill other people," the "Chernovik" (Draft) quotes villagers as saying, adding that a scuffle broke out of villagers and the policeman, who opened fire.
