Singer Mashidat Omaraskhabova wounded in Makhachkala

The police are engaged in investigation into an assassination attempt on Mashidat Omaraskhabova, Meritorious Artist of Dagestan, who got a bullet wound near her house in Makhachkala.

The wounded woman was taken to hospital and underwent surgery.

An armed attack on Mashidat Omaraskhabova was committed near her house, the RIA "Dagestan" reports with reference to the press service for the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) for Dagestan.

According to a source from the law enforcement bodies, an attacker waited for the singer and fired at her from a pistol.

After the surgery, the singer's state the "is assessed as critical," the "Ask Rasul" Telegram Channel reports with reference to a source.
