Picketer demands fair inquiry into Gasanguseinovs' murder

Kerim Gamidov, outraged by the words of the head of the Dagestani MIA about the non-involvement of MIA's agents in the murder of brothers Nabi and Gasangusein Gasanguseinov, held a picket at the State Duma building in Moscow.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that at a rally on October 1, Abdurashid Magomedov, the Minister of Internal Affairs of Dagestan, refused to comment on the murder case of Gasanguseinov brothers, since it was run by the Investigating Committee of the Russian Federation (ICRF); and on November 4, at a meeting with students of the Dagestani State University, he stated that MIA employees "had nothing to do" with the brothers' murder.

On August 23, 2016, the 17-year-old Nabi and the 19-year-old Gasangusein Gasanguseinov, residents of the village of Goor-Khindakh, were shot dead in the Shamil District. Law enforcers then declared the murdered brothers to be militants, saying that the young people had opened fire on them from Kalashnikov submachine guns. The Gasanguseinovs' fellow villagers demanded to punish those responsible for their murder, asserting that the guys were shepherds and had nothing to do with militants.

Kerim Gamidov held a solo picket at the State Duma demanding a fair investigation into the murder of Gasanguseinov brothers. He said that the above statements of the Dagestani Interior Minister Magomedov had motivated him for his protest picket.

In the future, Gamidov intends to hold similar actions at the buildings of the Russia's FSB and the General Prosecutor's Office (GPO), the "Kavkaz.Realii" informed.
