In Chechnya, during the firing practice, a soldier was killed by an accidental shot, the military commandant's office reported.

The incident occurred on October 18. However, it has not been reported until today.

"Last Thursday, during the firing practice, a soldier from a unit of the Defence Ministry got a severe wound and died. The contract Senior Sergeant was urgently hospitalized in a military hospital, but it was not possible to save his life," the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent was informed by an official from the Chechen commandant's office.

According to the official, a random shot occurred during the firing practice. "A bullet hit the contract Senior Sergeant to his neck and caused a fatal injury. Military investigators are engaged in investigating the circumstances of the incident," reported the official from the commandant's office.
