Nagorno-Karabakh accuses Azerbaijan of 200 cases of shelling per week

From May 27 till June 2, the Azerbaijani Armed Forces violated the ceasefire by making about 3000 shots on the positions of the Defence Army. This was reported by the Ministry of Defence (MoD) for Nagorno-Karabakh.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that in the period from May 20 to 26, Nagorno-Karabakh counted 150 cases of shelling against its positions.

On May 29, the Azerbaijani Ministry of Defence reported that the Armenian Armed Forces shelled a combine harvester in a field and people were not injured.

It should be noted that Azerbaijan regularly reports about shelling of its positions. According to the calculations run by the "Caucasian Knot", in the period from May 27 to June 2, the Azerbaijani side claimed 645 cases of shelling.

On April 2-5, 2016, there was an aggravation of the Karabakh conflict, after which the parties to the conflict announced a truce. However, it did not stop the confrontation. According to the infographics "Karabakh after the truce: two years of war" prepared by the "Caucasian Knot", during the other two years, shelling in the conflict zone did not cease even for a day.
