Dagestani advocates: detainee forced to waive services of defenders

Yesterday, on March 2, advocates Musa Abdulkadirov and Sapiyat Magomedova appealed to the Kizilyurt District Prosecutor's Office with a demand to provide access to the investigative actions in the case against of a resident of Dagestan suspected of possession of weapons and drugs.

On February 12, the case against Saipudin Magomedkhanov was instituted in the Kizilyurt District. According to investigators, during the search of his house, law enforcers found weapons and drugs.

Today, Sapiyat Magomedova has told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent that despite the fact that Saipudin Magomedkhanov has advocates hired by agreements; not all investigative actions were held in their presence, but in presence of other appointed advocates. Later, Saipudin Magomedkhanov told Sapiyat Magomedova and Musa Abdulkadirov that he was forced to wave their services. This is reported by the complaint written by Saipudin Magomedkhanov on February 27, a copy of which is available to the "Caucasian Knot".

According to the suspect, he refused legal aid because he "was threatened," claims his complaint.

In his complaint, Saipudin Magomedkhanov notes that he actually pleads not guilty. "I have nothing in common with ammunition and substance found in my house, those items do not belong to me," Saipudin Magomedkhanov writes in his complaint.
