Shamil Aliev becomes head of Pervomaiskoe village amid protests of locals
In the village of Pervomaiskoe of the Kayakent District, Shamil Aliev, a son of Magomed Aliev, the former head of the village, was elected the new head of the village despite the protests of local residents.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that during five days, villagers of Pervomaiskoe of the Kayakent District carried out actions to protest against the election of Shamil Aliev as the head of their village.
On December 22, the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent was informed about the Shamil Aliev's appointment by an official of the Pervomaiskoe administration. He refused to give any further comments.
The election was held on December 21. This was told to the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent by villager Isagadji I. He has explained that the protesters were not satisfied with the results of the activities of Magomed Aliev, the former head of the village.
"The authorities do not solve the problems of the villagers... The villagers had to solve all their problems by themselves, and in case of a big problem, they only complained to the head of the Kayakent District," said the villager.
"It turns out that members of the same family are ruling," said villager Malikat Magomedova while commenting on the election results to the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.
The election actually had not alternative candidates, noted another local resident. "Other candidates were eliminated yet at the stage of registration," he said.
