Khloponin finds South Ossetia's commitments on investment programme fulfilled
In 2016, despite the disruption of the construction schedule of the Drama Theatre in Tskhinvali, the South-Ossetian authorities have coped with their obligations before Russia in implementing the investment programme. This was stated by Alexander Khloponin, a Russian Vice-Premier. In their turn, South-Ossetian officials had to confess that a number of other facilities would not be built in time.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that in 2015 the authorities of Russia and South Ossetia signed an agreement on alliance and integration; besides, the republic receives from Russia funds for restoration.
Today, the city Vladikavkaz, the capital of South Ossetia, has hosted a sitting of the Intergovernmental Commission on Socio-Economic on Russian-South-Ossetian cooperation.
The 2016 investment programme contained 43 activities, including the construction of 26 social facilities; so far, 19 have been launched, said the spokesman of the Ministry of Construction of South Ossetia.
"These are ten city streets; the road connecting the remote border villages of Sinagur and Karzman; the road from the village of Gufta to the town of Kvaisa; a city marketplace and a multi-profile college," he said.
However, the information about the finished projects, voiced by Khloponin, differs from the data, reported by the Ministry of Construction of South Ossetia.
"In 2016, according to our plans, we had to commission 24 objects, but we really coped with 19 of them," said the ministerial spokesman.
