In North Ossetia, Election Commission reveals no violations during elections

In North Ossetia, the elections of deputies to the State Duma were held without gross violations. This was reported by Konstantin Kadiev, the chairman of the Election Commission for North Ossetia.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that, according to the North-Ossetian Election Commission, as at 6:00 p.m. Moscow time of September 18, the voter turnout was 70.46%. According to the information as at 2:25 a.m. Moscow time of September 19, the "Edinaya Rossiya" (United Russia) led the State Duma elections in North Ossetia, and its candidate Arthur Taimazov won in a single-seat electoral district.

According to Konstantin Kadiev, in Vladikavkaz, for the first time in 15 years, the voter turnout was higher than in the districts: 90% of voters attended the elections there.

Konstantin Kadiev has also added that on the election day, the Election Commission received several calls reporting violations. As a result, violations were registered only at a polling station in Beslan, where young people entered a school and tried to smash a ballot box.

"They were detained, and policemen were called," noted Konstantin Kadiev.
