Bamat-Girey Mankiev associates search and detention of his son with his own political activities
Law enforcers have put pressure on politician Bamat-Girey Mankiev by conducting a search at his house and detaining his son for several hours. This was reported by members of the regional branch of the "Yabloko" Party. Bamat-Girey Mankiev himself, the former Ingush Minister of Agriculture, associates the actions of the law enforcers with his criticism of the Ingush authorities.
Let us remind you that on July 21, it was reported that law enforcers conducted a search at the house of Bamat-Girey Mankiev, the former Ingush Minister of Agriculture. The law enforcers found nothing forbidden; however, after the search, they have detained for several hours his son, who recently returned from Turkey.
On July 31, in connection with the actions of the law enforcers, the Ingush branch of the "Yabloko" Party issued a statement in which the law enforcers' actions were described as "pressure on the politician."
Bamat-Girey Mankiev has told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent that earlier, he had been also subjected to pressure from the authorities. However, at present, the pressure has been intensified after the "Apple" Party put him forward as a candidate to the State Duma.
"Our leaders want us to be silent and not talk about the shortcomings in the management of the republic, about the flagrant cases of corruption, and about the financial irregularities. However, we are talking about it out loud. The authorities do not like the above, and that fact results in searches and detentions," states Bamat-Girey Mankiev.
