Members of "Alternative" movement claim being attacked in Dagestan
Today, in Dagestan, two persons have attacked members of the "Alternative" movement combating labour slavery. The activists have filed complaints to the police, reports a member of the movement.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that activists of the "Alternative" movement are engaged in the liberation of people from the labour slavery.
This afternoon, activists of the "Alternative" movement left for the vicinity of the village of Koktyubei of the Tarumovska District of Dagestan. They were contacted by a man, claiming being forcibly held near the village in one of the sheep shelters, premises for animals. This was told to the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent by Zakir Ismailov, a member of the "Alternative" movement.
"Upon receipt of the complaint, three of our staff members have gone there. At the moment when they were going to leave that animal shelter together with the man who contacted us for help, an owner of the animal shelter returned. He was accompanied by another man. They attacked our people and forced the man who appealed to us out of the car," Zakir Ismailov said.
According to him, the attackers were not armed, and the activists got no severe damages.
"At present, they are at the local police station, and they are filing complaints about the attack," Zakir Ismailov reported.
