Two law enforcers killed near Dagestani village of Gedjukh
In the course of a special operation carried out in the Derbent District of Dagestan, two OMON (riot police) fighters died from gunshot wounds. This was reported by a source from the law enforcement bodies.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that today, in the Derbent District, law enforcers encountered suspected militants, and a shootout occurred. As a result, according to the preliminary information, Gasan Abdullaev, the leader of the "Southern" militant group, was killed.
Two OMON fighters deceased as a result of the special operation near the village of Gedjukh, the RIA "Novosti" reports with reference to a source from the law enforcement bodies.
Meanwhile, today, the law enforcers have resumed the active phase of the special operation, which was started on June 16 in the Suleiman-Stalsky District, where an armed clash occurred near the village of Kasumkent.
