Ruzanna Egnukyan refuses to testify in case of conflict with police
Ruzanna Egnukyan, an activist of the "Front of Armenian Women", who was recognized a victim in a clash with the police which occurred in Yerevan on March 24, refused to come to the investigator. According to her, she has nothing new to say to the investigators.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on March 24, female activists of the "Front of Armenian Women" organized an action in support of political prisoners in Armenia. Activist Ruzanna Egnukyan was injured as a result of a clash with policemen. Her husband demanded to institute criminal proceedings in connection with the injury of his wife.
According to Ruzanna Egnukyan, the investigator deliberately delays the investigation into the case by regularly summoning her for giving testimony to the Special Investigating Service. The activist has noted that she has been summoned for questioning for the fourth time.
In his turn, the husband of the activist has expressed his indignation about the investigators' actions. According to him, the investigators threatened his wife with forced transportation to the investigating authorities.
Karo Egnukyan believes that the investigating authorities simulate the activities on the search for an unidentified man, who hit Ruzanna Egnukyan.
