Relatives of Dagestani Magomed Suleimanov report his kidnapping

Relatives of the 23-year-old resident of Dagestan Magomed Suleimanov cannot establish his whereabouts; and submitted an application to the police about his kidnapping. The "Caucasian Knot" was informed about it by Sirazhutdin Datsiev, the representative of the Human Rights Centre (HRC) "Memorial" in Dagestan. Suleimanov's relatives fear that he could be kidnapped by power agents.

According to Datsiev, relatives assert that they cannot establish Magomed Suleimanov's whereabouts since June 3.

According to relatives, on June 3, four persons in plainclothes drove up in a Lada Grant car to the café, where Magomed worked. According to eyewitnesses, they said something to Magomed, after which he sat down into their car, and they drove away to the centre of Makhachkala.

Suleimanov's relatives state they have tried fruitlessly to locate him by turning to the Kirov ROVD (District Interior Division) of Makhachkala, to the Centre for Combating Extremism (CCE) of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA), and to the regional department of the FSB.

Relatives went to the police with an application on kidnapping, said the representative of the HRC "Memorial", adding that back on June 4, according to relatives, policemen visited Suleimanov's house and asked about what Magomed was doing and what mosque he was attending.
