Oleg Dzarakhokhov sentenced to 19 years in prison

North Ossetia has sentenced Oleg Dzarakhokhov, accused of shooting people at the funeral in Beslan. The court sentenced him to 19 years in a strict-regime colony.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that the prosecution had requested 23 years and 4 months of a strict-regime colony and a fine of 500,000 roubles for Dzarakhokhov.

On February 2, 2015, law enforcers of North Ossetia reported on the detention of the 35-year-old Oleg Dzarakhokhov. According to investigators, he was the organizer of the execution of people at the funeral of entrepreneur Alan Torchinov in Beslan in 2013, and was a member of the Gagiev's criminal grouping. Dzarakhokhov was charged under several articles of the Russian Criminal Code, including organization of a criminal community, banditry, murder, and arms trafficking.

The court took into account the fact that Dzarakhokhov had concluded a pre-trial agreement with the investigators and fulfilled all the conditions thereof. The case was heard under special procedure; and the court took into account his small children.
