Nagorno-Karabakh reports on soldier's death

As a result of shelling from the Azerbaijani side, Khachatur Arutyunyan, a soldier of the Defence Army, was killed. This was reported by the Ministry of Defence (MoD) of Nagorno-Karabakh.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that the parties to the Karabakh conflict regularly accuse each other of violations of the ceasefire agreement signed on April 5 after the April escalation of the conflict. Today, Azerbaijan has accused Armenia of 120 cases of shelling per day.

On May 16, Vienna hosted a meeting of Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliev. The parties have confirmed their commitment to a peaceful settlement of the conflict, report the countries co-chairing the OSCE Minsk Group.

According to the MoD of Nagorno-Karabakh, Khachatur Arutyunyan, a conscript of the Defence Army of Nagorno-Karabakh, born in 1996, was killed at night, at the time when the meeting of the Armenian and Azerbaijani Presidents took place in Vienna.

Violations of the ceasefire were registered in the south-east (Hadrut) and the east (Martuni) directions, reports the spokesman of the Nagorno-Karabakh MoD's press service.

According to the MoD's official, Baku bears "full responsibility for the tense situation in the conflict zone."
