Azerbaijan reports on tank attack repulsed in Karabakh conflict zone
The Azerbaijani Ministry of Defence (MoD) reports that one tank with its crew was destroyed during the reflection of the attack of Armenian soldiers on the contact line.
According to an official of the Azerbaijani MoD, starting from the evening of April 23, the Armenian armed forces began shelling Azerbaijani villages and towns in the Terter District. "During the shelling, the Armenian armed forces used heavy machine guns, grenade and mortars launchers, and artillery mounts," the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent was told by the official of the Azerbaijani MoD.
"Meanwhile, at night of April 24, Armenian tanks began firing the Azerbaijani positions. The Armenian side used additional manpower and tried to start an attack. However, the attack was repulsed. In the course of suppression of the attack, one enemy tank with its crew was destroyed," reports the official of the Azerbaijani MoD.
According to him, the Azerbaijani side "did not suffer any losses in manpower or military vehicles."
