Nagorno-Karabakh accuses Azerbaijan of shelling Mataghis village
Last night, the Azerbaijani armed forces have violated the ceasefire by shelling the combat positions on the contact line and the near-border village of Mataghis. This was reported by the Nagorno-Karabakh Ministry of Defence (MoD).
According to the Nagorno-Karabakh MoD, at night of April 24, the Azerbaijani armed forces continued shelling in the conflict zone, which had been started in the afternoon of April 23.
"The Azerbaijani armed forces were engaged in intensive shelling of the Karabakh positions in the north-east (Martakert) and northern (Talysh) directions," states the report posted on the website of the Nagorno-Karabakh MoD.
According to the above report, "not only combat positions, but also the village of Mataghis" had been subjected to shelling. An artillery shell launched from a D-30 howitzer fell into the territory of the village of Mataghis, no one was injured, states the report published by the Nagorno-Karabakh MoD.
