Minister of Press and Information Minister of Dagestan dismissed

Aznaur Adzhiev has been dismissed with the formulation "in connection with his transfer to another job." Ms Burliyat Tokbolatova has been appointed instead, said the spokesman of the Dagestani administration.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that Adzhiev was appointed to the post of the Minister of Press and Information of the Republic of Dagestan on September 13, 2013, after the resignation of the whole previous Cabinet of Ministers for their inefficient, according to the head of the republic Ramazan Abdulatipov, work.

According to a source from the Department of Press Service and Information of the Head and Government of Dagestan, the Adzhiev's post in not known yet; while Burliyat Tokbolatova, who earlier worked as the editor-in-chief of the newspaper "Dagestanskaya Pravda", has been appointed to the post of the Minister.

Let us remind you that on April 13 the top managers of the national mass media of Dagestan were informed that their labour contracts had been terminated; and on April 21, a contest would be held, announced by the Ministry of Press and Information of Dagestan, for the positions of editorial bosses of the republic's newspapers "Truth" (Avar), "Lezgi Gazet" (Lezgin), "Ilchi" (Lak), "Yoldash" (Kumyk) and "Zori Tabasarana" (Tabasaran). The editors-in-chief of the newspapers appealed to the prosecutor's office and the court asking to recognize the contest as illegal.
