Soldier wounded in Karabakh conflict zone

Gagik Khurshudyash, a serviceman of the Defence Army of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR), was wounded last night by gunfire from the Azerbaijani side, said the Ministry of Defence (MoD) of the NKR, an unrecognized republic.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that in early April, the situation in the Karabakh conflict zone sharply escalated. On April 5, the parties declared an armistice; however, reports on violation of the ceasefire continue to appear on a regular basis. Today, the NKR has reported about a discovery of the body of a killed Azerbaijani soldier.

The above Karabakh serviceman was wounded at 2:15 a.m. local time in the vicinity of the village of Talysh, the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent was told at the MoD of the NKR, which added that Gagik Khurshudyash received a gunshot wound in his left forearm.

Also, the NKR's MoD has released a statement that within the last 24 hours Azerbaijan has broken the armistice agreement for more than 70 times by using small firearms.

Let us remind you that also today, the Azerbaijani MoD has reported about its 120 fire attacks on opponent's positions, and accused Armenia of 118 ceasefire violations within the last 24 hours.
