Armenia and Azerbaijan exchange bodies of killed soldiers and officers
Today, under the mediation of the International Red Cross Committee and the OSCE, Armenia and Azerbaijan have exchanged bodies of dead soldiers and officers.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that at night of April 2, the situation in the Karabakh conflict zone was escalated: the parties to the conflict were engaged in hostilities with the use of tanks, multiple launch rocket systems, and aviation. At noon of April 5, the sides declared a truce, with periodic reports of violation of the agreements. On April 8, starting from 3:00 p.m. till 8:00 p.m., the parties to the conflict declared ceasefire in the conflict zone to search for bodies of killed soldiers, officers, and civilians.
The exchange of bodies of killed soldiers and officers was reported by the State Commission for the citizens, who were captured, taken hostage and missed in action.
"On April 10, in accordance with the achieved agreements, the exchange of bodies of the citizens killed in the recent hostilities took place at the contact line of the Azerbaijani and Armenian armed forces," notes the report of the State Commission.
The exchange took place under the mediation of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) and the OSCE, the "Interfax" reports.
