NAC reports on detention of IS militants in Dagestan
In the Khasavyurt District of Dagestan, law enforcers detained three local residents, who were involved in the terrorist organization "Islamic State" (IS) and were plotting terror acts in Russia, reports the press centre of the National Antiterrorist Committee (NAC).
The detention took place in the village of Mutsalaul. According to the NAC, the detainees have already given confessions and informed law enforcers about a hiding with improvised explosive devices (IEDs).
The hiding was located in an abandoned house on the outskirts of the village, and law enforcers discovered in it four bombs with total power of up to 5 kg of TNT equivalent and about a ton of explosive substances, the "Interfax" reports.
It should be noted that last night, sources from the law enforcement bodies of Dagestan also reported on the detection and neutralization of four IEDs in an abandoned shed in front of a rural school in the village of Mutsalaul.
