"People's Control" inspects problematic places in Sochi

Members of the movement "People's Control of Sochi" have inspected a number of objects, concerning which they received complaints from local residents. The materials of the recorded violations will be brought to the Prosecutor's Office, the activists report.

The inspection took place on February 27, and it was held by 10 activists, the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent reports.

"The movement 'People's Control of Sochi' was created in 2009. Residents of Sochi, who could not find a proper reaction from officials, joined together to revive the tradition of the public people's control, which existed in the era of the Soviet Union," said Natalia Serdyukova, Chair of the "People's Control of Sochi".

According to her, the materials collected in the course of the inspection will be brought to the competent authorities together with the relevant legal justifications.
