"Yabloko" and ONF criticize "golden parachutes" in Dagestan

In the conditions of the crisis, the decision made by Dagestan MPs to maintain benefits for families of former chairs of the State Council and the leaders of the republic is unfounded. This opinion was expressed by to the leader of the regional branch of the "Yabloko" Party and the coordinator of the executive committee of the All-Russia People's Front (known as ONF). Former leaders need only security guards, and the remaining benefits should be abolished, states a member of the Public Chamber of Dagestan.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on February 26, Dagestani MPs rejected the request of the Prosecutor's Office to abolish the benefits for families of the former chairs of the State Council and the leaders of the republic.

Political analyst Albert Esedov, the leader of the Dagestani regional branch of the "Yabloko" Party, has criticized the decision made by Dagestani MPs. According to him, it will be right if the leader of the republic refuses his lifetime benefits.

Ruslan Gereev, the coordinator of the regional executive committee of the All-Russia People's Front (ONF) in Dagestan, believes that in the conditions of the crisis, "benefits should be optimized as much as possible." Meanwhile, Ruslan Gereev has noted that the former leaders of the regions with difficult socio-political situation really need security guards.

In his turn, Shamil Khadulaev, a member of the Public Chamber of Dagestan, has noted that the former leaders of the republic "should keep the right to protection and health and medical care."
