The court's decision to take in custody Mukhammad Magomedov, an activist of the NGO "League of the Just", will be challenged. This was announced by his relatives and friends.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that Mukhammad Magomedov was detained on May 23, 2015. He is charged with illegal manufacture and possession of weapons. On February 25, Mukhammad Magomedov, who was under house arrest, was taken in custody at the request of the FSB.
Investigator in charge for the Mukhammad Magomedov's case has filed a motion to change the pre-trial restriction measure against the defendant on the basis of the fact that he had changed his place of residence without notifying the investigating authorities. The investigator requested to take Mukhammad Magomedov in custody, since he is accused of committing two crimes and suspected of committing three other crimes, reports a relative of the detainee.
Mukhammad Magomedov himself has noted that law enforcers, who carried out a search at his house in 2013, refuse to return his seized belongings for two years already. After on February 18 he filed to the Dagestani Prosecutor's Office a complaint about the law enforcers' failure to return his property, he received a summons to court for a hearing at the investigator's request on the selection of the pre-trial restriction measure.
