Ramzan Kadyrov and Yunus-Bek Evkurov come to understanding on believers' discussions
The leaders of Chechnya and Ingushetia have instructed their subordinates to create a joint commission to find a solution to disputes arising between the republics. This was reported by Ramzan Kadyrov. Both sides have recognized that to insult the feelings of believers is inadmissible, emphasizes Yunus-Bek Evkurov.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on February 2, Ramzan Kadyrov stated that he banned a dialogue with Salafis. Meanwhile, he has voiced criticism against Ingush religious leaders Khamzat Chumakov and Isa Tsechoev and said that in case if they try to preach in Chechnya, "they will face big troubles." The theologians themselves noted the absurdity of the Ramzan Kadyrov's statements, and lawyers treated the statements made by the Chechen leader as a threat to the safety of the Ingush Imams.
Following the meeting held on February 21 in the city of Magas, Ramzan Kadyrov has stated that Chechnya and Ingushetia face the problems common for the regions and "intend to move together towards solutions." He has emphasized that the leaders of the republics are going to resist attempts to sow discord between the regions and to "meet frequently."
According to Yunus-Bek Evkurov, the both parties see the need for a dialogue between religious figures of both republics.
