Nagorno-Karabakh accuses Azerbaijan of use of mortar launchers

Yesterday, the Azerbaijani armed forces shelled the Karabakh positions more than 700 times from small-arms weapon, as well as five times from 82-millimetre mortar launchers. This has been reported today by the Ministry of Defence (MoD) of Nagorno-Karabakh.

"The advanced forces of the Defence Army were forced to apply punitive actions to suppress the activity of the enemy," the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent was informed by a press officer of the MoD of Nagorno-Karabakh.

Till present, the "Caucasian Knot" has no comments from officials of the MoD of Azerbaijan concerning the statement made by the MoD of Nagorno-Karabakh.

The "Caucasian Knot" has also reported that today, Azerbaijan has accused Armenia of 133 firings per day. On February 17, Azerbaijan accused the Armenian side of 130 firings, and the MoD of Nagorno-Karabakh reported 800 cases of ceasefire violations committed by the Azerbaijani forces.
