Resident of Dagestan detained for giving DNA assay released
Law enforcement bodies have set free Zurab Mamedov, a resident of Makhachkala, who informed his relatives after detention that he was forced to give blood for DNA analysis. The police denied the detention of Mamedov.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported, referring to one of Mamedov's relatives, that Zurab was detained on February 12 and reported on the phone that he was forced to give a DNA assay. The relative said that Mamedov was on the records of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) after in 2013 he was detained for participating in a rally in support of the advocate Murad Musaev.
Mamedov was released in the evening on February 12, said his relative.
The "Caucasian Knot" has also reported that the rally in support of Musaev was held in Makhachkala, the capital of Dagestan, on November 29, 2013. Its participants protested against the prosecution of Musaev, when he became a figurant in cases of bribing witnesses.
