In the territory of the Khasavyurt District, power agents began searching for members of illegal armed formations (IAFs), said the spokesman of the operative headquarters of Dagestan.

According to the headquarters, the counterterrorist operation (CTO) regime was introduced today since 5:00 a.m., and "searching for militants is underway," the TASS reports.

The CTO regime has been introduced "in order to prevent the commission of terror acts, ensure safety of citizens, organizations and institutions, and search for and detain hiding members of the bandit underground", the "Interfax" reports.
