Azerbaijan reports death of four soldiers on Armenian border
Imran Mirzoev, a private of the Azerbaijani Army, and three Armenian soldiers were killed on the border, the Azerbaijani Ministry of Defence (MoD) has stated today. Its Armenian counterpart has refuted the death of its soldiers.
The private Imran Mirzoev perished on February 3 on the Armenian-Azeri border, the Azerbaijani MoD reports. He died "as a result of a diversion act", the "Interfax-Azerbaijan" writes today with reference to the MoD.
According to the Ministry, "as a result of operative actions, undertaken by units of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces within this sector of the front, three members of the opponent's diversion group were liquidated," the "APA" reports.
The Armenian MoD has refuted the death of its three soldiers. "The information of the MoD of Azerbaijan about an armed clash on the border, resulting in killing three soldiers of the Armenian Armed Forces, has nothing to do with reality," the "Rosbalt" news agency quotes its source from the press service of the Armenian MoD.
