Amateur boxers hold protest workout in front of Krasnodar Mayoralty

Today, members of the "League of Krasnodar Amateur Boxers" have held a training session in front of the Mayoralty. The athletes said they would workout in the street, since they lost their gym.

Vladimir Evlanov, the Mayor, and his deputies went out to meet the protester. The Mayor said that apart from the above "League", six other organizations claimed the right to use the gym, and as a result it was decided to hand the facility over to the Boxing Federation of Krasnodar. The Mayor has promised that boxers would be able to train freely in the gym.

They will be able to resume their workouts on February 15, after the end of repairs, Mr Evlanov has promised.

"We are thirty-four fighters in total," Nikolai Morozov told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent. "After they closed the gym; and its fate was unknown, we have legally registered the 'League of Krasnodar Amateur Boxers' and began defending the idea of available free sports. Well, it seems we've got it."

If the problem is not solved by the above deadline, amateur boxers are ready to train outdoors in the city centre.
